Iyengar Yoga Classes
Iyengar yoga works on Mind, Body and Spirit. It is a technique ideally suited to prevent physical and mental illness and to protect the body generally.
What will Iyengar Yoga do for me?
This is a question that many people ask themselves prior to attending their first class. Iyengar yoga is a non aggressive form of exercise for your body and mind. The regular practice of yoga will do what your body and mind requires at that given time.
If you have no expectations and practice yoga with honesty, commitment and joy you will feel the benefits. Iyengar yoga has been medically proven to help with anxiety, back pain, rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure, depression, alcoholism, just to name a few.
Personal Profile
Iyengar yoga came into Jackie Kilcourse’s life 12 years ago. She went along to a class because she wanted to tone up and she quickly became hooked! Her teacher Louise made it look so easy, but the poses were actually very difficult so it took some hard work and practice to get it right.
It wasn’t long before she also decided that she also wanted to teach Iyengar Yoga. After attending a regular class for five years she went to do a teacher training course for 2 years and after a total of seven years work she became a fully qualified Yoga teacher.
