Nutritional Consultation

Nutritional therapy focuses on the use or elimination of particular foods, vitamins, minerals and nutrients in order toNutritional Consultation
improve the health and wellbeing of a patient. The principles applied are not new – it has been used since Grecian times, where Hippocrates used it to help people of all stages to stay at their personal peak of energy and vitality. The discipline is holistic in that it is designed to treat the body as a whole, tackling the cause, rather than the symptoms, of a problem, an approach which is often overlooked by conventional medicine.

Our Nutritional Therapists

Our team of nutritional therapists each specialise in certain areas such as Female Health, Depression & Anxiety, IBS, Fertility, Children's Health, Menopause & Sports Nutrition Our therapists have trained for four years to the highest level in Nutritional Therapy.  All of our therapists are registered with the British Association of Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

The Consultation

When you arrange the consultation, you will be asked to fill in a questionnaire giving details of any health issues you may have as well as information about your dietary habits and lifestyle.

The initial consultation will take 1 hour.  During this time your nutritional therapist will discuss with you the health issue you would like to improve and explore what factors may be contributing to your symptoms.  A personalised action plan is then agreed and is likely to include changes to your current eating habits, nutritional supplement programme and lifestyle recommendations.  Laboratory tests may be recommended, if appropriate.

Progress will be monitored at monthly follow-up appointments and adjustments to your programme made as necessary.

"Our Nutritional Therapists have trained for four years before they can practise and know exactly what supplements can be taken with certain medication we have to be careful with. They can work closely with your GP.  Nutritional Therapy is a great foundation for achieving optimum health and we have some fantastic success stories. Our therapist can provide achievable food goals and advice on nutritional supplements to bring the body back into balance. The recommendations are backed up by nutritional research and years of experience from the therapists. Each therapist specialises so let us point you towards the right one."
